Exploration is the result of an agreement between Shandong Gold and the Government of the province of La Rioja (northwest) to "very likely" the find of mine precious metal gold, a site that takes years old closed, said a regional government spokesman. The
China firm will use "latest technology" in the exploration, whose investment has not been revealed and will depend on the success of the inspection.
The agreement, released today, was signed last week in China by the governor of La Rioja, Luis Beder Herrera, who also sealed a "covenant of brotherhood" with the province of Shandong.
Negotiations began last July during his visit to China, Argentina's President Cristina Fernandez, and whose entourage also visited the governor of La Rioja, the sources added.
Gold Mine is located on the hill Famatina, near the border with Chile and some 1,200 miles northwest of Buenos Aires. Http://www.google.com/
